{Catch Up Post} For a Beautiful Life-Day 10: Favorite Book

I had every intention of posting Day 10 of my favorite things, in the photo-a-day challenge, but I got busy and forgot. Such is life...(better late than never).

My favorite book is the "Woman of Faith Devotional Bible, A Message of Grace & Hope for Everyday." NKJV

It is my instruction guide for life. This book has gotten me through a whole LOT of trials and tribulations. I know I should be reading it everyday, but the truth is I don't...but I'm getting there!

I like this particular bible because it gives you 31 DAYS of devotional scriptures for: FAITH, LOVE, FORGIVENESS, TRUTH, GRACE, LIBERTY, HOPE, JOY, PURPOSE, PEACE, HEALING, AND SOVEREIGNTY. This book is a gem.

My ace, homie, my best friend for ever...my brother Travere (aka Trey). 18 months apart (I'm the oldest), were raised very close.  Even though we are so different, I can always talk to him about anything, anytime and vice versa.

Not to mention, he is a:
awesome father
loyal husband
wonderful cook
damn good football coach
great mentor
and more...

 I love him dearly.

August Photo-a-Day Challenge: For a Beautiful Life

I don't do a lot of these photo-a-day challenges because they 1. don't interest me much or 2. I know I won't do them all because of what's going on in my world. But Beatrice Clay (whose blog I absolutely adore by the way) is back again with her #forabeautifullife 31 Days 31 Photos 31 Stories blog/photo a day challenge. I participated last year and it was fun...and it was definitely, a CHALLENGE!

I will be posting on Instagram and try to remember to Pin on Pinterest too. I will describe my photo in a few words, to give you a reason why I posted that picture, either here on my blog or on Instagram @shan_nglam.
